The Kindergarten Wing of Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension celebrated the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration aimed to introduce the young learners to the cultural significance of the festival and highlight the beautiful bond of love, care and protection shared between brothers and sisters.
The little ones participated in a variety of engaging activities. They made colourful and creative rakhis using craft materials, decorated rakhi thalis and participated in drawing and colouring activities based on the festival. The celebration also encouraged children to understand the values of family and togetherness.
Principal Darspreet Kaur appreciated their enthusiastic participation in making the celebration meaningful and enjoyable. She emphasised that festivals like Raksha Bandhan provide children with an opportunity to learn about our rich cultural traditions while nurturing values of love, compassion, respect and family bonding.
