Gurpurab Celebration with profound devotion and enthusiasm

Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension, Ludhiana celebrated Gurpurab with profound devotion and enthusiasm, commemorating the 555th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.Sant Baba Lakha Singh Ji, Head Nanaksar, Kaleran graced the occasion. Mrs. Dalvinder Kaur, Member GNPS Committee was adorned the occasion. The day began with mellifluous notes of Kirtan by Gursewak Singh Riar which created spiritual ambiance and set the divine tone for the day. The Soulful rendition of Shabads by students created an atmosphere of high spiritual warmth. Through powerful recitations of poems and stirring speeches, students honoured the legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji by embracing and promoting his timeless message of equality, unity, and universal brotherhood for all. Students and teachers recited 30274 Japji Sahib Paths to help people touch the deepest essence of individual consciousness and elevate one to the universal consciousness. Besides this,384 students enthusiastically took part in ‘Kanth Bani Competition’. Sant Baba Lakha Singh Ji honoured the students who recited the maximum number of Banis in their classes. It is a matter of pride for us that Brahmbir Singh, a class IX student of our school, has learnt and recited 100 Banis and Hargunpreet Singh from class XI has learnt and recited 101 Banis orally. An Ardaas, praying to the Almighty to shower His blessings and bestow wisdom upon the staff and students was followed by Langar.Principal Mona Singh acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the students of the school and also highlighted the profound teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, stressing the need to nurture core values like unity, brotherhood, patience, and harmony to build a stronger, more compassionate community.
