Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension hosted the ASISC INTER SCHOOL ATHLETIC MEET for 12 ICSE schools of Ludhiana Zone. The two days mega sporting event began at GS Foundation College of Law, Birmi amidst much fanfare. Nearly 400 athletes from 11 ICSE schools participated in this event.The Meet was declared open by Jasbir Singh Ryait, President GNPS Committee. The Meet began with the school shabad followed by flag hoisting and march past by the athletes from all schools. Ustatpreet, State Level football player of GNPS took the oath on behalf of all athletes to play in the spirit of true sportsmanship and abide by all the rules and regulations that govern them. Principal Mona Singh welcomed all the players in her welcome address.Athletes showcased their prowess in 100 metre, 200 hundred metre, 400 metre, 800 metre, relay race, javelin throw, shot put, hammer throw, long jump, high jump and hurdles. The Meet came to a close with Principal Mona Singh proposing a vote of thanks for all the participating teams.
