A session for students of Grades 4 & 5 to sensitise them regarding the rights of animals

Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension organised a session for students of Grades 4 & 5 to sensitise them regarding the rights of animals. The session was conducted by Inder Sandhu from Chandigarh. Inder and his team from PEEDU’s People(an NGO registered in Texas USA & in Punjab), held a very interesting interactive session about: Major areas of cruelty prevention in : Domestic Animals Street Dogs Stray Cows and Bulls Horse Carts Donkeys Animal Farms and SLAUGHTER houses Dog fighting Using animals for entertainment Illegal transport of animals Wildlife – In conjunction with wildlife deptt The programme was sponsored by Rotary Club Ludhiana Greater. President of the club Amanpreet Singh Arora graced the occasion along with fellow Rotarians. Principal Mona Singh thanked the organisers for this initiative and said it is the need of the hour to inculcate empathy in students towards all forms of life and focus on sustainable development by reducing human animal conflict
