To observe World Mental Health Day, Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension conducted a session for the students of classes IX to XI. The theme for the year 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’. Dr. Neeti Bawa, the school counsellor took the session for the students.Slides were shown to the students by focusing that, those who prioritize their mental health are more likely to perform well in school, have better relationships with parents and teachers, and enjoy a more fulfilling life. The school is committed to protecting the students’ mental health by providing a nurturing environment that encourages them to express themselves and grants them freedom of expression.Principal Mona Singh said that the school firmly believes that only a conducive environment can produce more innovative and creative students which can help to improve their overall development.
