Baisakhi, the harvest festival of Punjab was celebrated with great pomp and show in the campus of GNPS model town Extension. The little ones of primary wing came dressed up in traditional attires. The wing was decorated with flowers, buntings , drawings and paintings depicting the rich heritage of Punjab. Many activities were organised for kids which they enjoyed thoroughly. The children were made aware about the religious aspect of the festival through various documentaries and PPTs were shown and teachers told the significance of Baisakhi to students through them. Dressed up in traditional attires children tapped their feet on folk songs.Principal Mona Singh gave her warmest wishes to the students .It was a fun-filled and cheerful day for kids.
