A seminar for adolescent girls of classes V and VI

Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension, ludhiana, recently conducted a seminar for adolescent girls of classes V and VI on embracing physical changes and dealing with them positively. School counsellors with the help of an informative power point presentation guided them navigate through this new phase of life. Pupils were provided with some stress management techniques and few mindful breathing exercises to help them manage their emotional reactions. They were encouraged to dress in an age appropriate manner. The concept of puberty was explained from physical, mental, emotional and social angles. In this interactive session they were made to realise that they are beautiful and unique through an interesting activity. School Principal Darspreet kaur emphasized the importance of self-acceptance and self-love, saying, “As young girls go through this transitional phase, it’s essential to focus on inner strength, confidence, and individuality. By embracing our unique qualities and strengths, we can build a positive and healthy mindset that will benefit us throughout our lives.”
